Seven kilometres between the towns
The Two Towns Trail is a seven kilometre off-road pathway linking Drouin to Warragul. A 600 metre shared path extension made Rotary Park in Warragul the trail's start and end point, and the Victorian Government says the paths are increasingly popular with cyclists, dog walkers, runners and families. Walk a section, jog the next, stop for strength work at a bench: a trainer can build a full session out of it.
Maps for shorter loops
Baw Baw Shire Council publishes walking and cycling trail maps, among them the Drouin Discovery Trail, the Drouin Tree Walks and the Warragul Linear Park Arts Discovery Trail. In Drouin, Drouin Civic Park has paved walking trails, a playground, a skate park and toilets, which suits a parent fitting a session around the kids.
The permit rule for council reserves
The council's Community Local Law 2024 does not allow fitness training or health and wellbeing activity for commercial purposes on a council reserve without a permit. That rule is for the trainer to sort out. If you want to train on a reserve, ask early whether they hold the permit, or meet at your home instead through mobile personal training.
Easing back in
In October 2025 the council's Seniors Week guide listed chair based fitness at the Warragul Leisure Centre for seniors and people just starting (Seniors Festival booklet 2025). That program has passed, but the idea holds: start with what feels manageable. Say on the request form if you are new to training, and the trainer can plan an easy first month.
Warragul and Drouin questions
Where does the Two Towns Trail begin in Warragul?
At Rotary Park, which the Victorian Government says was redeveloped as the trail's start and end point.
Can I send a request from Longwarry or Nilma?
Yes. Include your town and we pass the request to one trainer who travels to it.
