Four ways to train and one short enquiry. Compare them below, then tell us which suits you, or tell us you have not decided yet.
Ways to train
Not sure which to pick?
Start with whatever usually gets in your way. The answer often points to the right kind of training.
- Short on time? Training at home cuts out the travel and the waiting around.
- Hard to stay motivated? Partner or small group training means someone is expecting you.
- Want full attention? One-on-one training keeps every minute focused on you.
- Sick of being indoors? Outdoor training takes your sessions to a park, reserve or foreshore.
These mix well, too. Plenty of people start one-on-one, then bring a friend along, or train at home through winter and head outside when the mornings warm up.
What stays the same
Whichever way you choose, the enquiry goes to one trainer who works near you. That trainer sets their own prices, packages and cancellation terms, so ask for them in writing before you pay for anything.
Choosing a way to train
Can I ask about more than one kind of training?
Yes. Pick the one closest to what you want in the form, then mention the others in the notes. The trainer can explain what they offer.
Which option suits someone who has never exercised regularly?
Many beginners like one-on-one sessions at first, because the trainer can set the pace entirely around them. Training at home is another gentle start if a gym feels daunting.
Is there an option for older adults?
Every option can work at any age. Tell us your goal is to keep active as you get older, and the trainer will know where to begin.
