Personal Trainers in Busselton

The City of Busselton issues Outdoor Exercise Permits and lists the reserves where permit holders may train clients, from Signal Park on the foreshore to new parks in Vasse and Yalyalup. One form puts you in touch with one local trainer.

What to know about Busselton

Where permit holders can train you

The City of Busselton issues Outdoor Exercise Permits for six or twelve months, so recreation and leisure businesses can train clients on selected City managed reserves. Applicants attach a public liability insurance certificate and approved qualification documents. The list of outdoor exercise sites includes Signal Park on the foreshore, Barnard Park, Churchill Park, Lou Weston Oval, King Street Reserve on Busselton Foreshore West and Mitchell Park. Several sites are for weekday mornings only.

Vasse and Yalyalup are on the list too

The newer suburbs are not left out: the same list has three sites in Yalyalup and two in Vasse, among them Heritage Park in Vasse on weekday mornings. If you live out that way, a trainer may be able to meet you a few streets from home.

Hours and the places that are off limits

Under the City's personal training and group fitness guidelines, permit holders may train between 6.00am and 7.30pm on weekdays and between 7.00am and 7.30pm on weekends. Trainers and fitness groups may not use playgrounds, memorials, picnic shelters, organised sporting areas or beach access ways. Whistles, amplifiers and music are out before 7.00am and after 8.00pm, and each trainer can work up to 18 hours a week on an individual permit.

Shared paths and the Wadandi Track

The City has more than 200km of shared paths connecting neighbourhoods with town centres, schools and community hubs. The Wadandi Track runs 46km across two sections, one from the Busselton Jetty to Carbunup River. Mixing a path walk with strength work suits outdoor training on a mild South West morning.

Busselton questions

Can a trainer meet me at the beach?

Not on a beach access way, which the City's guidelines exclude. Foreshore reserves on the approved list, such as Signal Park, are the usual alternative.

Do you cover Dunsborough?

Yes. Dunsborough, Geographe and Broadwater are all welcome. Put your town on the form.
